Hardik is a licensed physical therapist in the state of New York and Pennsylvania. He graduated from RGUHS, India with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2011. He frequently visited the US for his summer break during his undergrad and shadowed the physical therapist at various facilities like VA clinic (Allentown, PA), Lehigh Valley Hospitals (Allentown, PA), Good Shepherd Rehab Hospital (Allentown, PA) and Central Jersey Physical Therapy Associates (Old Bridge, NJ). He also served as a Physical Therapist for a year in India. He was always inclined towards getting further education away from his home country to expand his horizons, which led him to get a Masters in Physical Therapy from New York University in 2014. During his graduate school, he gained exposure to a wide range of patients with overuse, traumatic, and post-surgical injuries.
He took up the opportunity to serve as a Physical Therapist at New York Spine and Sport Rehabilitation and has been a very valued member of the facility. His thirst for knowledge has however not been sufficed yet and hence he is pursuing a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and expecting to graduate in 2016. He is also pursuing McKenzie techniques since 2011 and has finished 3 modules towards diploma in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment from McKenzie Institute International, New Zealand.
His expertise and determination towards each patient is commendable at New York Spine and Sport Rehabilitation Medicine. Hardik’s goal is to return each patient to their maximal functional level, by use of appropriate manual techniques, neuromuscular re-education, and exercises geared toward their specific limitations. As part of the team, he plans on expanding his current skill set by continually taking accredited courses and staying up to date with the latest evidence based practice. He is inclined towards a specialization in Orthopaedics and is in a process of getting the APTA House of Delegates approved board certification for the same.
Apart from work, Hardik is very determined towards personal fitness and spends his time towards the same. He likes to play tennis on the weekends with friends and family. He also tries his hand on cooking. Hardik is fond of community and social service. He has been part of NYC marathon as a medical volunteer since 2 years. His interests out of work help him become a better person along with a better professional.
