Dr. Elzholz is a board certified Anesthesiologist with subspecialty in Interventional pain medicine. He specializes in managing painful conditions including reflex sympathetic dystrophy, occipital headaches, cervalgia, trigeminal neuralgia, atypical facial pain, neck pain, back pain, sciatica, musculoskeletal, myofascial pain, chronic pelvic and chronic abdominal pain syndromes.

Dr. Elzholz was born in Forest Hills, NY. He received his undergraduate degree with a bachelor in science, majoring in both biology and psychology from the University of Wisconsin. He received his medical degree from Chicago Medical School.

Dr. Elzholz went on to complete his Medicine Internship at Yale University followed by residency in both Radiology-Nuclear Medicine, at Cornell University, and Anesthesiology, at New York University. He then completed his Interventional Pain Medicine fellowship at the Columbia University-St. Lukes/Roosevelt Medical Center. Dr. Elzholz has been in private practice for the last several years in the Long Island/NYCity area.
Presently Dr. Elzholz has satellite practice locations in the Bronx and New York City.

Dr. Elzholz is an expert in both image guided minimally invasive techniques and medication management. He performs fluoroscopically guided procedures including but not limited to stellate ganglion & lumbar sympathetic nerve blocks, spinal cord stimulation trial & program, trigeminal nerve blocks, hypogastric plexus block, pudendal nerve blocks, splanchnic/celiac plexus blocks, epidural steroid injections, spinal cervical and lumbar facet joint blocks & injections, sacroiliac joint injections, discography, radiofrequency of the spinal cervical and lumbar facet joints nerves, radiofrequency of the dorsal root ganglion and peripheral nerves.
